Getting started with Mistral Vibe (formerly Le Chat)

Based on Mistral help docs, checked 2026-10-16. Written in our own words; follow the official articles for the latest details.
- Open chat.mistral.ai (Le Chat is now called Vibe; same URL and login).
- Create an account. Mistral says Free mode is enough to try it.
- Type your request and say what you want back (length, format, audience).
- For multi-step jobs, switch to Work mode from the sidebar.
- Opt out of training under Admin panel → Vibe → Privacy if you'll share private material.

Free or paid?
Free plan: yes. limited messages, searches, coding sessions and basic images. Paid: the lowest price we could verify on the official pricing page is $14.99/month (other plans may exist).
Privacy setting to check
Admin panel → Manage → Vibe → Privacy → turn off “Allow your interactions to be used to train our models”.
