Getting started with DeepSeek

1. Open DeepSeek Web (chat.deepseek.com) or install the official DeepSeek app from deepseek.com.
2. Sign in or create an account.
3. Type your question. Turn on DeepThink for harder reasoning, or Search for up-to-date web answers.
4. Check facts yourself: DeepSeek's terms say you shouldn't rely on outputs being accurate.
5. Turn off “Improve the model for everyone” in Settings if you don't want your chats used to improve the service.

Free or paid?

Free plan: yes. the official DeepSeek app lets you chat for free. The API is pay-per-token. Paid: price not verified, so check the official site.

Privacy setting to check
