Getting started with Cursor

1. Download Cursor for macOS, Windows or Linux and sign in.
2. Open a project folder.
3. Ask the agent to explain the codebase before changing anything.
4. Ask for one small edit, then review the proposed changes before accepting them.
5. Turn on Privacy Mode (Settings → General) if your code is private.

Free plan: yes. limited Cursor agent and chat requests. Paid plans start at $8/mo (Plus, Grok models only). Paid: the lowest price we could verify on the official pricing page is $8/month (other plans may exist).

Privacy setting to check

Cursor Settings (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+J) → General → turn Privacy Mode on.
